Food Stop #9 : Boston #3

Boston has a lot of things you have to eat and visit so it makes sense that the last place I went to before flying out was the Cheers restaurant on Beacon Hill.  I had ordered what was pretty much a New England special in a beer paired with a New England Clam Chowder.  You also get to keep the mug the beer came in if you pay a little extra which is a cool souvenir.

Food Stop #8 : Boston #2

One think you must have in Boston is a lobster roll.  For lunch one day we did just that as we went to Yankee Lobster.  I ordered a variation of the traditional lobster roll which was a Lobster BLT (well without the "T" since I'm not a fan of tomatoes).  I normally don't eat cold sandwiches but I also normally don't have seafood but wow this was great.  The restaurant was on a dock so their lobster was fresh and you can taste it.  It goes for just under $20 but it was well worth it.

Brewery Stop #2 : Harpoon Brewery

One of the top craft beers resides in Boston and its name is Harpoon. Mostly found on the east coast, Harpoon became my favorite beer after the tour as it is one of the most flavourful and smoothest beers I've ever had (Raspberry UFO in particular).  The tour consists of walking around the brewing facility and ends off with a 30 minute unlimited sample session.  If you have a chance to go here, do it.

Food Stop #7 : Boston #1

Boston being by the coast provides access to a lot of seafood and coming from Toronto where we barely have any at an affordable cost, I had to take advantage.  We decided to go to one of their main seafood chains called Legal Seafood which can be found in many locations in the city.  I ordered Spicy Fish N' Chips which was probably one of the best fish n' chips I've ever had.

Brewery Stop #1 : Samuel Adams

Also, I have to mention, there's more to do in Boston once you hit the drinking age (although that can be said about every city) as you can tour one of their many breweries.  The first one we checked out in Boston is their most notable beer in Samuel Adams.  This brewery was small but you get the gist of what they do, and you only had to pay a couple of dollars to do the tour.  You also get to sample their beer at the end.

Other Sporting Venues #4 : Second trip to Boston but it wasn't during baseball season

I want to start off by admitting this post messes up the chronological ordering of travelling but to be honest, I forgot I went here back in 2012.  Visiting a city when it isn't baseball season allows me to be a little more creative to get my sports fix.  Boston in the winter only has the Bruins and the Celtics.  Since the Bruins just came off a Stanley Cup the seasons prior, getting tickets weren't exactly in my budget especially since they were facing the Penguins that weekend.  So plan B was to watch the Celtics with their Big Four still intact versus the Knicks with Carmelo Anthony a week prior to Linsanity.
