MLB Ballpark #9/30 : Oakland

What didn't work out was that the Oakland Athletics didn't have a home game the weekend I was in town so I had to settle for the tour of O.co Coliseum.  The tour itself was great as it was informative and the tour guide took us to areas we would never be able to access in other stadiums which gave us a great look at the home of Moneyball.

Impressions: It was a huge looking stadium maybe due to the huge seating area above centerfield, but the park seemed nice from what I saw of it in the tour.  It showed some of it's history in the main halls and had a decent amount of things for fans to see inside.

Other Sporting Venues #6 : Oracle Arena

As a basketball fan, it was quite a treat to watch Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in person in Oakland.  The arena uses "Theatre Lighting" where the lighting is focused on the court and much less on the crowd, which with it's bright yellow court, gave me a quick headache, but that was mostly due to the fact I've been flying in the bright sun all day.  With the Warriors uptempo offence and their great crowd, watching a Warriors game is one of the best experiences for an NBA fan.
