I had gone antique shopping with my parents one weekend in Waterloo because I'm at that age now, and beside one of the of antique shops lies this little barbecue restaurant called the Crazy Canuck. These are the types of restaurants I love since they have pretty unique menus at good portions, affordable prices and pretty legit food since they usually have specializations. If I remembered correctly, I ordered both a Smoked Meat Poutine since I wanted to try some of their barbecue (fantastic ribs by the way), and a Po Boy Poutine as I was still in a cajun mood, plus a Buffalo Tuscan Pizza to share with my folks. This place is definitely worth the drive if you're going on an empty stomach so you can try a lot of what's on the menu. As a bonus, you smell like barbecue smoke after so that drive back is a little more enjoyable.
