MLB Ballpark #7/30 : Wrigleyville, Chicago

We left Milwaukee first thing in the morning and took about a 2 hour drive down to Wrigleyville to catch an afternoon Chicago Cubs game.  One thing that is different with this ballpark compared to most others is the fact that Wrigley Field is in the middle of a neighbourhood filled with houses compared to a downtown core.

Impressions: Wrigley Field is one of the oldest ballparks in baseball and has three things that I liked.  One is the bullpens being outside on the field instead of in a separate area behind a fence.  Another is the right and left field fences being further from home plate than at centre field which uncommon.  And lastly and obviously, it's iconic ivy wall.  Also, it is pretty cool to keep an eye out on the fans watching from across the street on the roofs of apartment buildings. This stadium is one place you must visit if you love the sport since the whole ballpark is oozing of history even if a World Series hasn't been part of their history for over a century.
